Good morning, Faith and Fitness Family. This is Elder Ericia King, and I thank God for the privilege of leading us in Day Three of 10 Days Ablaze. On Day One, we prayed for the Lord Jesus Christ to wake us up to stand in truth and not be shaken. On Day Two, we prayed for Him to teach us to dwell under His covering and rest in His peace. Today, we ask the Lord Jesus Christ to give us the tongue of the learned and the ear to hear morning by morning. Because in these times, we need to hear God clearly, speak carefully, and encourage the weary with words that come from Him.
Father God, we come before You this morning in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We thank You for waking us up. We thank You for keeping us through the night. We thank You for another opportunity to pray, listen, learn, and draw closer to You.
Lord, we do not want to begin this day in our own strength, our own opinions, our own emotions, or our own understanding. We want to begin this day with our ears open to You and our hearts surrendered before You.
Your Word declares:
Isaiah 50:4
"The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary..."
"He wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned."
Father, wake our ears morning by morning.
Wake our hearts morning by morning.
Wake our understanding morning by morning.
Wake our discernment morning by morning.
Wake our obedience morning by morning.
Give us the ear of the learned. Teach us how to hear You. Teach us how to listen before we speak. Teach us how to wait before we move. Teach us how to be instructed before we try to instruct others.
Lord Jesus Christ, we confess that there are many voices in the world. Voices of fear. Voices of confusion. Voices of anger. Voices of pride. Voices of pressure. Voices of deception. Voices of distraction. Voices of pain. Voices of opinion.
But we need Your voice.
Your Word says:
John 10:27
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:"
Lord Jesus Christ, let us hear Your voice. Let us know Your voice. Let us follow Your voice.
Do not let us follow the voice of fear.
Do not let us follow the voice of flesh.
Do not let us follow the voice of confusion.
Do not let us follow the voice of offense.
Do not let us follow the voice of strangers.
Do not let us follow the voice of anything that pulls us away from truth, peace, holiness, wisdom, and obedience.
Father, train our ears. Train our hearts. Train our spirits. Make us sensitive to the Holy Spirit and grounded in the written Word of God.
Your Word declares:
John 16:13
"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth..."
Father, let the Spirit of truth guide us into all truth. Not partial truth. Not emotional truth. Not convenient truth. Not cultural truth. Not truth mixed with fear. Guide us into all truth.
Holy Spirit, lead us.
Holy Spirit, teach us.
Holy Spirit, correct us.
Holy Spirit, comfort us.
Holy Spirit, remind us of the Word.
Holy Spirit, help us pray.
Holy Spirit, give us discernment.
Holy Spirit, show us what is of God and what is not.
Lord, we ask for spiritual ears that can hear instruction. Sometimes You speak through Scripture. Sometimes You speak through wisdom. Sometimes You speak through correction. Sometimes You speak through peace. Sometimes You speak through stillness. Sometimes You speak through a closed door. Sometimes You speak through a holy check in the spirit.
Father, teach us to pay attention.
Teach us not to ignore conviction.
Teach us not to rush past warning.
Teach us not to dismiss wisdom.
Teach us not to fight correction.
Teach us not to harden our hearts.
Your Word says:
Hebrews 3:15
"To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts..."
Father, keep our hearts soft before You. Do not let disappointment harden us. Do not let offense harden us. Do not let delay harden us. Do not let pride harden us. Do not let fear harden us. Do not let weariness harden us.
Give us humble hearts that can still be taught.
Give us surrendered hearts that can still be led.
Give us obedient hearts that can still say yes.
Lord Jesus Christ, give us the tongue of the learned. Teach us how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. There are weary people all around us. Weary in body. Weary in mind. Weary in family. Weary in faith. Weary in finances. Weary in service. Weary in grief. Weary from carrying private burdens.
Father, give us words that heal and not words that wound.
Give us words that strengthen and not words that tear down.
Give us words that comfort and not words that condemn.
Give us words that are truthful and not careless.
Give us words that are timely and not rushed.
Give us words that are seasoned with grace.
Your Word declares:
Proverbs 15:23
"A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!"
Father, teach us the goodness of a word spoken in due season. Let us not speak just to speak. Let us not correct just to prove a point. Let us not advise without listening. Let us not respond from irritation, fear, pride, or impatience.
Teach us when to speak.
Teach us when to be silent.
Teach us what to say.
Teach us how to say it.
Teach us how to speak truth in love.
Teach us how to comfort the weary without weakening the truth.
Lord, put a watch over our mouths. Let our words come under Your authority. Let our conversations come under Your covering. Let our tone come under Your Spirit. Let our timing come under Your wisdom.
Your Word says:
Psalm 141:3
"Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips."
Father, set a watch before our mouths. Keep the door of our lips. Do not let us speak death where You want us to speak life. Do not let us speak fear where You want us to speak faith. Do not let us speak confusion where You want us to speak clarity. Do not let us speak out of anger where You want us to speak with wisdom.
Lord, make our mouths instruments of prayer, praise, truth, encouragement, correction, blessing, and life.
We repent for careless words.
We repent for harsh words.
We repent for fearful words.
We repent for faithless words.
We repent for words spoken too quickly.
We repent for words spoken without love.
We repent for silence when You told us to speak.
We repent for speaking when You told us to be still.
Father, forgive us and teach us again.
Your Word declares:
Proverbs 18:21
"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."
Lord, let life come from our tongues. Let Scripture come from our tongues. Let wisdom come from our tongues. Let prayer come from our tongues. Let encouragement come from our tongues. Let truth come from our tongues.
Father, we pray for every person on this call and every person who will hear this later. Wake our ears to hear as the learned. Give us disciplined listening. Give us spiritual discernment. Give us humility to receive instruction. Give us courage to obey what we hear from You.
Lord, in a loud world, make us a listening people.
In a rushed world, make us a patient people.
In a confused world, make us a discerning people.
In a harsh world, make us a gracious people.
In a weary world, make us people who can speak a word in season.
Father, provide wisdom for Your people today. Some need to know what to do next. Some need guidance in decisions. Some need direction in family matters. Some need wisdom in money. Some need wisdom in ministry. Some need wisdom in business. Some need wisdom in health. Some need wisdom in relationships. Some need wisdom in whether to move, wait, speak, rest, build, release, or begin again.
Your Word says:
James 1:5
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
Father, we ask for wisdom. Give wisdom liberally. Give wisdom without confusion. Give wisdom with peace. Give wisdom with Scripture. Give wisdom with confirmation. Give wisdom that keeps us under Your covering and in Your will.
Lord Jesus Christ, give us ears that hear You and tongues that honor You.
Let us not use our words to spread panic.
Let us not use our words to spread gossip.
Let us not use our words to spread unbelief.
Let us not use our words to spread bitterness.
Let us not use our words to spread confusion.
Let us use our words to pray.
Let us use our words to bless.
Let us use our words to build.
Let us use our words to encourage.
Let us use our words to speak truth.
Let us use our words to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, today we declare:
Our ears belong to You.
Our mouths belong to You.
Our conversations belong to You.
Our counsel belongs to You.
Our timing belongs to You.
Our tone belongs to You.
Our words belong to You.
Wake us morning by morning.
Teach us as the learned.
Give us the tongue of the learned.
Help us speak a word in season to the weary.
Let the Holy Spirit guide us into all truth.
Let the Word of God shape what we hear and what we say.
Let the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified in our listening and in our speaking.
In the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.
Amen.
Father God, as we continue in prayer, we ask You to bring this Word deeper into our own hearts, our own minds, our own mouths, and our own daily walk.
Lord Jesus Christ, give us the tongue of the learned, but first give us the heart of the surrendered.
Give us the ear to hear morning by morning, but first give us the humility to listen when You speak.
Teach us not only to desire a word for others, but to receive Your Word for ourselves.
Father, sometimes we want to speak before we have listened. Sometimes we want to correct before we have been corrected. Sometimes we want to encourage others while our own souls are weary, cluttered, distracted, or unsettled.
Lord, sit us at Your feet again.
Your Word declares:
Luke 10:39
"And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard His word."
Father, teach us to sit at the feet of Jesus. Teach us to hear His Word before we rush into our day. Teach us to quiet our hearts long enough to receive instruction. Teach us to love Your presence more than our own opinions, plans, and schedules.
Lord Jesus Christ, wake us morning by morning. Wake us not only physically, but spiritually. Wake up our attention. Wake up our hunger. Wake up our reverence. Wake up our desire for truth. Wake up our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
Do not let us be spiritually dull.
Do not let us be too busy to listen.
Do not let us be too proud to learn.
Do not let us be too wounded to receive.
Do not let us be too distracted to discern.
Your Word says:
Proverbs 8:34
"Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors."
Father, make us daily watchers. Make us people who listen for You. Make us people who wait at the posts of Your doors. Make us people who know that one word from God is better than a thousand anxious thoughts.
Lord, teach us to guard what we hear. Everything that enters our ears does not deserve access to our hearts. Every report does not deserve our agreement. Every opinion does not deserve our attention. Every fearful word does not deserve a home in our spirit.
Father, give us discernment over what we receive.
Give us discernment over what we repeat.
Give us discernment over what we believe.
Give us discernment over what we allow to shape our mood, our faith, our speech, and our decisions.
Your Word declares:
Romans 10:17
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
Father, let faith come by hearing Your Word. Let faith rise as Scripture fills our ears. Let faith rise as truth fills our homes. Let faith rise as worship fills our atmosphere. Let faith rise as prayer replaces worry.
Lord, if fear has been coming by what we have been hearing, then shift what we are hearing.
If confusion has been coming by what we have been hearing, shift what we are hearing.
If anger has been coming by what we have been hearing, shift what we are hearing.
If despair has been coming by what we have been hearing, shift what we are hearing.
Let the Word of God become the loudest voice in our lives.
Father, give us discipline with our phones, our screens, our conversations, our media, our music, our news, and our daily inputs. Help us recognize when our spirits are being fed fear instead of faith, noise instead of wisdom, distraction instead of direction.
Lord, purify our hearing.
Purify our focus.
Purify our atmosphere.
Purify what we allow into our minds.
Purify what we allow into our homes.
Purify what we allow to influence our words.
Your Word says:
Philippians 4:8
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure..."
"...whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report... think on these things."
Father, teach us to think on what is true. Teach us to think on what is honest. Teach us to think on what is just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Teach us not to let our minds become dumping grounds for fear, resentment, gossip, suspicion, and unbelief.
Lord, renew our minds so You can govern our mouths.
Your Word declares:
Romans 12:2
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..."
Father, renew our minds. Transform how we think. Transform how we listen. Transform how we process pressure. Transform how we respond to people. Transform how we speak over our lives and families.
Lord, we ask You to heal the places where our words have been shaped by pain. Heal the places where disappointment has made us negative. Heal the places where fear has made us controlling. Heal the places where rejection has made us defensive. Heal the places where weariness has made us sharp.
Father, let our words be healed at the root.
Let our tone be healed at the root.
Let our reactions be healed at the root.
Let our listening be healed at the root.
Let our silence be healed at the root.
Lord Jesus Christ, teach us the difference between being quiet and being healed. Teach us the difference between speaking truth and speaking from hurt. Teach us the difference between discernment and suspicion. Teach us the difference between holy boldness and fleshly reaction.
Your Word says:
James 1:19
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:"
Father, make us swift to hear.
Slow to speak.
Slow to wrath.
Slow to assume.
Slow to accuse.
Slow to react.
Slow to answer before we understand.
Give us the grace to listen.
Give us the wisdom to pause.
Give us the humility to ask.
Give us the self-control to wait.
Give us the discernment to respond by the Holy Spirit and not by the flesh.
Lord, we pray for our mouths today. Put Your Word in our mouths. Put prayer in our mouths. Put praise in our mouths. Put wisdom in our mouths. Put encouragement in our mouths. Put truth in our mouths. Put grace in our mouths.
Your Word declares:
Colossians 4:6
"Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."
Father, let our speech be always with grace. Season our words with salt. Teach us how we ought to answer every person. Teach us how to answer the weary. Teach us how to answer the angry. Teach us how to answer the hurting. Teach us how to answer the confused. Teach us how to answer those who oppose truth.
Let us not answer every person the same way.
Let us not answer from habit.
Let us not answer from irritation.
Let us not answer from pride.
Let us answer from wisdom.
Let us answer from love.
Let us answer from truth.
Let us answer from the Spirit of God.
Father, make us safe people for the weary, but not compromising people. Make us gentle people, but not silent people. Make us truthful people, but not cruel people. Make us wise people, but not prideful people.
Lord, give us words in season.
A word in season for the discouraged.
A word in season for the grieving.
A word in season for the young.
A word in season for the elder.
A word in season for the parent.
A word in season for the servant.
A word in season for the leader.
A word in season for the person who feels like giving up.
Your Word says:
Proverbs 25:11
"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver."
Father, give us fitly spoken words. Words that fit the season. Words that fit the person. Words that fit the moment. Words that are beautiful because they are wise, timely, and led by You.
Lord, forgive us for words that were not fitly spoken.
Forgive us for words that were too early.
Forgive us for words that were too harsh.
Forgive us for words that were careless.
Forgive us for words spoken from pride.
Forgive us for words spoken from fear.
Forgive us for words spoken without prayer.
Father, cleanse our mouths and train them for Your glory.
Lord, we also pray for our silence. Teach us when silence is wisdom. Teach us when silence is self-control. Teach us when silence is obedience. Teach us when silence protects peace.
But also teach us when silence is fear. Teach us when silence is compromise. Teach us when silence is avoidance. Teach us when silence becomes disobedience.
Holy Spirit, lead us in both speaking and silence.
Your Word declares:
Ecclesiastes 3:7
"...a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;"
Father, teach us the time. Teach us the season. Teach us the difference. Give us discernment to know when to keep silence and when to speak.
Lord Jesus Christ, let our daily lives become classrooms of the Holy Spirit. Let every morning be a place of instruction. Let every conversation become an opportunity for obedience. Let every pressure become a place where we practice hearing You.
Father, help us not to waste the morning.
Help us not to rush past Your whisper.
Help us not to begin our day with worry.
Help us not to fill our mouths before You fill our hearts.
Wake us morning by morning.
Teach us morning by morning.
Correct us morning by morning.
Encourage us morning by morning.
Strengthen us morning by morning.
Father, we ask You to give us ears for You before we give ears to the world. Give us hearts for Your Word before we give attention to every report. Give us tongues shaped by Scripture before we speak out of habit.
Lord, we declare today:
We will listen for the voice of the Lord.
We will guard what enters our ears.
We will think on what is true.
We will be swift to hear and slow to speak.
We will speak with grace.
We will speak words in season.
We will not let fear govern our mouths.
We will not let anger govern our tone.
We will not let pressure govern our responses.
We will allow the Holy Spirit to teach us when to speak and when to be silent.
Lord Jesus Christ, give us the tongue of the learned and the ear to hear morning by morning.
In the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.
Amen.
Father God, now that we have prayed for ears to hear You and tongues that honor You, we ask You to let that same wisdom, discernment, grace, and truth move through us into every place You have assigned us to serve.
Lord Jesus Christ, give us words that do not just sound spiritual, but words that carry Your heart.
Give us words that strengthen families.
Give us words that encourage the weary.
Give us words that restore hope.
Give us words that build faith.
Give us words that bring correction with love.
Give us words that bring comfort with truth.
Give us words that point people back to You.
Father, we pray for our homes. Let our homes become places where Your voice is honored. Let our families become people who hear Your Word, speak Your Word, and live by Your Word.
Your Word declares:
Deuteronomy 6:6–7
"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:"
"And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house..."
Father, let Your Word be in our hearts and in our homes. Let Your Word be in our conversations. Let Your Word be in how we teach our children. Let Your Word be in how we correct. Let Your Word be in how we comfort. Let Your Word be in how we make decisions.
Lord, teach us how to speak to our families with wisdom.
Teach us how to speak to children with patience.
Teach us how to speak to young adults with understanding.
Teach us how to speak to elders with honor.
Teach us how to speak to spouses with love.
Teach us how to speak to those who are hurting with compassion.
Teach us how to speak to those who are drifting with truth.
Father, let our homes not be filled with careless words, harsh words, bitter words, fearful words, or faithless words. Let our homes be filled with prayer, Scripture, wisdom, encouragement, and peace.
Lord, we pray for every parent, grandparent, guardian, teacher, mentor, and caregiver. Give them the tongue of the learned. Help them know how to speak a word in season to the children, youth, and young adults You have entrusted to them.
Some children need correction.
Some need comfort.
Some need direction.
Some need protection.
Some need patience.
Some need encouragement.
Some need truth.
Some need someone to listen.
Father, give adults wisdom to know the difference.
Your Word says:
Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Father, help us train with love. Help us train with wisdom. Help us train with consistency. Help us train with patience. Help us train by example and not only by instruction.
Let our children see us pray.
Let our children hear us speak life.
Let our children see us repent when we are wrong.
Let our children see us honor Your Word.
Let our children see us choose peace over panic.
Let our children see us listen for God before we make decisions.
Lord, we pray for the weary in our families. Some are tired from work. Some are tired from caregiving. Some are tired from grief. Some are tired from financial pressure. Some are tired from spiritual warfare. Some are tired from being strong for everybody else.
Father, give us words in season for the weary in our own homes.
Help us not overlook the people closest to us.
Help us not encourage strangers while ignoring our families.
Help us not speak gently in public and harshly in private.
Help us not use our words to wound the people You called us to love.
Your Word declares:
Proverbs 16:24
"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones."
Father, let our words bring sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. Let our words strengthen weary places. Let our words bring relief and not more heaviness. Let our words be pleasant without being fake, truthful without being harsh, and loving without being weak.
Lord, we pray for our churches. Let the Church hear what the Spirit is saying. Let the Church not be deaf to correction. Let the Church not be dull in discernment. Let the Church not be careless with words. Let the Church not speak what You have not spoken.
Your Word says:
Revelation 2:7
"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches..."
Father, give the Church ears to hear. Give pastors ears to hear. Give elders ears to hear. Give ministers ears to hear. Give deacons ears to hear. Give teachers ears to hear. Give intercessors ears to hear. Give worship leaders ears to hear. Give servants ears to hear.
Let the Church hear Your voice above culture.
Let the Church hear Your voice above fear.
Let the Church hear Your voice above tradition when tradition is not aligned with truth.
Let the Church hear Your voice above popularity.
Let the Church hear Your voice above pressure.
Let the Church hear Your voice above man’s agenda.
Lord, restore the sound of truth in the Church.
Restore the sound of prayer in the Church.
Restore the sound of repentance in the Church.
Restore the sound of holiness in the Church.
Restore the sound of love in the Church.
Restore the sound of Scripture in the Church.
Restore the sound of worship in the Church.
Restore the sound of wise counsel in the Church.
Father, we pray for every preacher, teacher, pastor, minister, elder, deacon, evangelist, prophet, apostle, leader, and servant who handles Your Word. Give them the tongue of the learned. Let them not speak to impress. Let them not speak to manipulate. Let them not speak to entertain only. Let them not speak from pride, anger, greed, fear, or ambition.
Let them speak as servants of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Your Word declares:
1 Peter 4:11
"If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God..."
Father, let those who speak for You speak with reverence. Let those who teach Your Word teach with humility. Let those who lead Your people lead with wisdom. Let those who correct do it with love. Let those who comfort do it with truth.
Lord, guard pulpits.
Guard platforms.
Guard microphones.
Guard classrooms.
Guard prayer calls.
Guard counsel rooms.
Guard social media posts.
Guard every place where people speak in Your Name.
Do not let careless fire come from holy places.
Do not let flesh dress itself up like discernment.
Do not let pride hide behind revelation.
Do not let fear hide behind warning.
Do not let opinion be presented as Your Word.
Father, make us clean vessels.
Make us humble vessels.
Make us truthful vessels.
Make us careful vessels.
Make us loving vessels.
Make us yielded vessels.
Lord, we pray for the weary in the Body of Christ. We pray for those who have served and are tired. Those who have prayed and are tired. Those who have believed and are tired. Those who have given and are tired. Those who have been faithful but are quietly discouraged.
Father, send them a word in season.
Send encouragement.
Send rest.
Send wisdom.
Send help.
Send covering.
Send confirmation.
Send strength.
Send people who will speak life and not add weight.
Your Word says:
Galatians 6:9
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
Father, strengthen those who are weary in well doing. Help them not faint. Help them not quit in the waiting. Help them not mistake delay for denial. Help them not believe that their labor in the Lord is vain.
Speak to the weary servant.
Speak to the tired intercessor.
Speak to the faithful caregiver.
Speak to the quiet giver.
Speak to the overlooked helper.
Speak to the one who has kept showing up.
Speak to the one who feels unseen.
Speak to the one who needs strength for another day.
Lord, we pray for our communities. Let Your people become voices of wisdom, comfort, truth, and peace in places where people are tired, confused, angry, afraid, or hopeless.
Give us a word in season for our neighborhoods.
Give us a word in season for our schools.
Give us a word in season for our workplaces.
Give us a word in season for our senior centers.
Give us a word in season for our youth.
Give us a word in season for our families.
Give us a word in season for those who are grieving.
Give us a word in season for those who feel forgotten.
Father, help us not to be silent when You have called us to speak. Help us not to be loud when You have called us to listen. Help us not to be careless when You have called us to steward words.
Your Word declares:
Isaiah 58:10
"And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul..."
"...then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:"
Father, help us draw out our souls to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul. Let our words not be empty. Let our prayers not be distant. Let our faith not be selfish. Let us care about the afflicted, the hungry, the discouraged, the broken, and the weary.
Show us how to speak.
Show us how to serve.
Show us how to listen.
Show us how to help.
Show us how to be present.
Show us how to represent Christ with both truth and compassion.
Lord Jesus Christ, we pray for schools and students. Give teachers and leaders the tongue of the learned. Give them patience, wisdom, discernment, and compassion. Let words spoken over children be words that help them rise and not words that crush their spirits.
We pray for workplaces and businesses. Let Your people speak with integrity. Let meetings, decisions, corrections, negotiations, and leadership conversations be guided by wisdom and not pride, fear, manipulation, or greed.
We pray for families in conflict. Give them words that repair and not destroy. Give them ears to hear one another. Give them humility to apologize. Give them courage to tell the truth. Give them grace to forgive.
We pray for those who counsel others. Give them wisdom. Give them discernment. Give them careful words. Let them not speak from assumption, ego, or impatience. Let them speak from wisdom, prayer, and love.
Father, let our words become bridges and not weapons.
Let our words become medicine and not poison.
Let our words become light and not darkness.
Let our words become direction and not confusion.
Let our words become encouragement and not discouragement.
Let our words become truth and not flattery.
Let our words become prayer and not gossip.
Your Word says:
Ephesians 4:29
"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying..."
"...that it may minister grace unto the hearers."
Father, let no corrupt communication proceed out of our mouths. Let our words edify. Let our words minister grace to the hearers. Let people receive grace when they hear us speak. Let people receive truth when they hear us speak. Let people receive courage when they hear us speak. Let people receive correction without condemnation when they hear us speak.
Lord, we ask You to raise up seasoned voices in this hour.
Voices that are not easily shaken.
Voices that are not careless.
Voices that are not hungry for attention.
Voices that are not controlled by fear.
Voices that are not moved by every trend.
Voices that are rooted in Scripture.
Voices that are filled with the Spirit.
Voices that know how to comfort the weary.
Voices that know how to warn with love.
Voices that know how to build without boasting.
Voices that know how to speak and when to be silent.
Father, make us those voices.
Make our homes places of wise speech.
Make our churches places of holy speech.
Make our communities places where Your people carry words of life.
Make our prayer calls places where the weary are strengthened.
Make our conversations places where Christ is honored.
Lord Jesus Christ, we declare:
Our homes will hear the Word of the Lord.
Our children will be taught with wisdom.
Our families will be strengthened by grace-filled words.
Our churches will hear what the Spirit is saying.
Our leaders will speak with humility and truth.
Our communities will encounter words that heal, build, and point back to Christ.
The weary will receive a word in season.
The afflicted will not be forgotten.
The Body of Christ will be edified.
Our mouths will minister grace to the hearers.
We will hear morning by morning.
We will speak as You lead.
We will carry the tongue of the learned into every place You send us.
In the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.
Amen.
Father God, we have prayed for the tongue of the learned, the ear to hear morning by morning, hearts that are surrendered, mouths that are governed by Your Spirit, homes filled with Your Word, churches that hear what the Spirit is saying, and weary people strengthened by words in season.
Now, Father, we ask You to seal this third day of 10 Days Ablaze with wisdom, discernment, grace, truth, humility, obedience, and holy restraint.
Lord Jesus Christ, let every word prayed today take root in us.
Let every scripture settle in us.
Let every correction help us.
Let every encouragement strengthen us.
Let every warning protect us.
Let every truth form us.
Let every prayer become obedience in our daily lives.
Father, do not let us only be hearers of this Word. Make us doers.
Your Word declares:
James 1:22
"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
Father, make us doers of Your Word. Let us not hear about wisdom and then walk in foolishness. Let us not hear about grace and then speak harshly. Let us not hear about listening and then rush past Your voice. Let us not hear about words in season and then speak carelessly.
Let this prayer change the way we listen.
Let this prayer change the way we speak.
Let this prayer change the way we counsel.
Let this prayer change the way we correct.
Let this prayer change the way we encourage.
Let this prayer change the way we respond.
Lord Jesus Christ, seal our ears. Let our ears be open to You and guarded against deception. Let our ears be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and discerning against the voice of strangers.
Your Word says:
Proverbs 2:2
"So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;"
Father, teach us to incline our ears unto wisdom. Teach us to apply our hearts to understanding. Let us not listen casually when You are speaking seriously. Let us not dismiss what You are trying to teach us.
Incline our ears to Your Word.
Incline our ears to Your wisdom.
Incline our ears to Your correction.
Incline our ears to Your instruction.
Incline our ears to Your timing.
Incline our ears to Your peace.
Father, seal our mouths. Let our mouths be instruments of righteousness and not weapons of the flesh. Let our tongues be trained for prayer, praise, truth, wisdom, encouragement, correction, blessing, and life.
Your Word declares:
Psalm 19:14
"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer."
Lord, let the words of our mouths be acceptable in Your sight.
Let the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight.
Let our private thoughts and public words come under Your authority.
Let our tone be acceptable.
Let our timing be acceptable.
Let our counsel be acceptable.
Let our correction be acceptable.
Let our encouragement be acceptable.
Let our silence be acceptable.
Let our speech be acceptable.
O Lord, You are our strength and our redeemer.
Father, we ask You to forgive us again for every way our words have not honored You. Forgive us for every time we spoke too soon, too harshly, too proudly, too carelessly, too fearfully, or too foolishly.
Forgive us for words that wounded when they should have healed.
Forgive us for words that discouraged when they should have strengthened.
Forgive us for words that spread fear when they should have spoken faith.
Forgive us for words that fed confusion when they should have brought clarity.
Forgive us for words that carried offense when they should have carried grace.
Forgive us for words spoken without prayer.
Forgive us for silence when You called us to speak.
Forgive us for speaking when You called us to be still.
Father, cleanse us and train us again.
Your Word says:
Isaiah 6:6–7
"Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand..."
"And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged."
Father, touch our lips with holy fire. Purge what needs to be purged. Cleanse what needs to be cleansed. Consecrate what needs to be consecrated.
Let our mouths not be common when You have called them to be holy.
Let our words not be careless when You have called them to carry life.
Let our speech not be ruled by flesh when You have called us to be led by the Spirit.
Lord Jesus Christ, sanctify our voices.
Sanctify our counsel.
Sanctify our conversations.
Sanctify our prayer language.
Sanctify our correction.
Sanctify our teaching.
Sanctify our encouragement.
Sanctify our testimony.
Sanctify our witness.
Father, let the Holy Spirit govern every word that comes out of our mouths.
Your Word declares:
Ephesians 5:18–19
"...but be filled with the Spirit;"
"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"
Father, fill us with the Spirit. Let our mouths be filled with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, prayer, praise, truth, and thanksgiving. Let melody return to hearts that have been heavy. Let worship replace worry. Let Scripture replace fear. Let prayer replace complaint.
Fill our homes with spiritual songs.
Fill our churches with holy sound.
Fill our conversations with grace.
Fill our hearts with melody unto the Lord.
Lord, seal this day over every person who is weary. We pray again for those who need a word in season. We pray for those who are tired in body, tired in mind, tired in spirit, tired in ministry, tired in family, tired in work, tired in grief, and tired from carrying burdens in silence.
Your Word says:
Isaiah 40:29
"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength."
Father, give power to the faint. Increase strength to those who have no might. Let the weary not leave this prayer journey the same way they came. Let them receive strength from You. Let them receive hope from You. Let them receive direction from You. Let them receive comfort from You.
Speak to the faint.
Strengthen the weak.
Lift the bowed down.
Encourage the discouraged.
Refresh the servant.
Comfort the grieving.
Steady the anxious.
Guide the uncertain.
Restore the one who feels empty.
Lord Jesus Christ, make us people who know how to help the weary without becoming proud. Make us people who know how to speak without taking over. Make us people who know how to listen without judging. Make us people who know how to correct without crushing. Make us people who know how to encourage without flattering.
Give us the tongue of the learned.
Give us the heart of a servant.
Give us the patience of love.
Give us the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
Father, seal our mornings. Let us not waste the morning. Let us not rush into the day without acknowledging You. Let us not give our first attention to fear, noise, messages, reports, pressure, or worry.
Your Word declares:
Psalm 5:3
"My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up."
Father, hear our voices in the morning. Teach us to direct our prayer unto You and look up. Before we look around, teach us to look up. Before we answer others, teach us to answer You. Before we take in the noise of the day, teach us to receive the Word of the Lord.
Wake us morning by morning.
Teach us morning by morning.
Correct us morning by morning.
Guide us morning by morning.
Strengthen us morning by morning.
Give us ears to hear morning by morning.
Father, seal this assignment over 10 Days Ablaze. Let Day One’s awakening continue. Let Day Two’s covering and peace remain. Let Day Three’s hearing, wisdom, and words in season be established in us.
Let the rest of this prayer journey build on truth.
Let the rest of this prayer journey be led by the Holy Spirit.
Let the rest of this prayer journey strengthen the weary.
Let the rest of this prayer journey sharpen discernment.
Let the rest of this prayer journey glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
Your Word says:
Revelation 3:22
"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."
Father, give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying. Not only once. Not only on the prayer call. Not only in a moment of emotion. Give us ears to hear daily, humbly, consistently, and obediently.
Let the Church hear.
Let families hear.
Let leaders hear.
Let servants hear.
Let intercessors hear.
Let the weary hear.
Let the young hear.
Let the elders hear.
Let Your people hear what the Spirit is saying.
Lord Jesus Christ, we ask You to make us trustworthy with words. Make us trustworthy with wisdom. Make us trustworthy with counsel. Make us trustworthy with correction. Make us trustworthy with encouragement. Make us trustworthy with prayer. Make us trustworthy with silence.
Let us not waste words.
Let us not misuse words.
Let us not weaponize words.
Let us not manipulate with words.
Let us not flatter with words.
Let us not destroy with words.
Let us steward words as servants of God.
Father, we declare today:
Our ears are open to the voice of the Lord.
Our hearts are surrendered to the Word of the Lord.
Our mouths are submitted to the Spirit of the Lord.
Our conversations are covered by the wisdom of the Lord.
Our mornings belong to the Lord.
Our words will minister grace to the hearers.
Our counsel will be rooted in Scripture.
Our correction will be clothed in love.
Our encouragement will strengthen the weary.
Our silence will be Spirit-led.
Our speech will be acceptable in Your sight.
We will be swift to hear.
We will be slow to speak.
We will be slow to wrath.
We will hear what the Spirit is saying.
We will speak as You lead.
We will carry the tongue of the learned.
We will receive the ear to hear morning by morning.
Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for Day Three. Thank You for calling us to listen again. Thank You for teaching us to speak with wisdom. Thank You for reminding us that weary people need words in season. Thank You for correcting our mouths, training our ears, and bringing our hearts under Your instruction.
Seal this prayer in every heart. Seal this Word in every home. Seal this wisdom in every conversation. Seal this discipline in every mouth. Seal this discernment in every ear. Seal this assignment in the will of God.
Now seal this day in the mighty, holy, wise, truthful, gracious, and matchless Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen. Amen. And Amen.
Faith and Fitness Family, this has been Elder Ericia King, and I thank God for the opportunity to lead us in Day Three of 10 Days Ablaze. Let us go forward today with ears to hear, hearts to obey, and mouths submitted to the Lord. May we speak words in season, encourage the weary, and listen for the voice of the Lord morning by morning.
🔥 Faith and Fitness Family, we have prayed the Word, and now we make room for the Body to pray. As the Holy Spirit leads, the call is open for corporate intercession.
